Jun. 17--A 60-year-old Hoffman Estates woman lost a 2-carat diamond earring over the weekend while watching a performance at Buffalo Grove High School but found the stud aElsa Peretti Bean earrings day later after sifting through the cleaning crew's vacuum bags, police said.
The woman called police Sunday to report that she believed she lost her earring between 7 and 10 p.m. Saturday while in the auditorium of the high school.
A couple of officers met her at the school, Elsa Peretti Sevillana earrings1100 W. Dundee Rd., to help her look for it, but they couldn't find it, police said. The officers suggested that the earring might have been sucked up by a vacuum cleaner after the event and suggested she take the vacuum bags home to sift through.
